How It Started
A Foundation Built on Precision and Care
In 1979, Paul J. Crandall founded Electronic Services Company (ESC) in Van Nuys, California. With a degree in electronics and a passion for solving complex problems, Paul and his team began repairing oscilloscopes and other high-tech equipment.
By the late '80s, ESC partnered with Core-Vent (now Implant Direct) and began servicing their Physio-Dispenser systems, manufactured by Swiss-based Nouvag AG. That relationship led to the creation of Nouvag USA, which quickly became the primary U.S. service center for Nouvag’s dental and medical equipment.
Together, Paul and his wife Sandy built a thriving business with Paul offering hands-on support to doctors and field reps nationwide, and Sandy overseeing operations with the kind of steady, thoughtful care that built customer loyalty for decades.

Same Values. New Chapter.
In 2016, Paul and Sandy transitioned the business to longtime technician and trusted colleague Mark Kuban. With over 20 years of experience in the service and repair industry, Mark brought deep mechanical expertise, practical leadership, and a shared commitment to excellence.
Now operating as Nouvatec, the company continues to grow while honoring the principles that built its reputation: personalized service, unmatched technical skill, and unwavering integrity. Today, Nouvatec proudly supports dental and medical professionals across the U.S. with certified repairs and equipment they can depend on—carrying forward a legacy built on trust.
